Andrés Orellana
A first-generation digital storyteller born in Los Angeles, CA, Andrés comes from humble beginnings as the son of two Salvadoran immigrants fleeing the Civil War.
As a graduate of The New School in New York City, they studied Journalism, Design, and Film Production. During undergrad, they interned for multiple media companies ranging from the prestigious Jamel Gaines Creative Outlet Dance Theatre of Brooklyn to daytime’s No. 1 talk show, “Live with Kelly and Ryan.” Upon returning to Los Angeles, Andrés became the Assistant Video Editor at the Los Angeles Times Studios.
in 2023, Andrés edited two shorts "FISH" and “The Delusion of Pisces” which were screened at the the NewFilmmakers LA 2023, OUR Pride Film Festival, and the Asian American Film Festival. Recently, their documentary series, The LAnd, has hit the film circuit with its premiere at the Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival (LALIFF).
